چکیده

The applicability of micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MEKC) for the separation of benzodiazepine (BZD) derivates with different structural characteristics has been studied. Efforts were first focused on the optimization of the analytical conditions, on the effects of buffer concentration, surfactant concentration and buffer pH on the separation. To manipulate selectivity of the separation βcyclodextrin (CD) was added to the buffer solution, and urea was used to improve the solubility of the CD in water. The CD-modified MEKC separation of the eight BZDs was achieved within 15 minutes using 25 mmol dm natrium tetraborate-50 mmol dm sodium dodecyl sulphate-15 mmol dm β-CD-2 mol dm urea (pH 9.3) as the running buffer. The proposed separation method was evaluated on the basis of precision, linearity and limit of detection. (doi: 10.5562/cca1763)

Micellar Electrokinetic Capillary Chromatography of 1,4-Benzodiazepine Derivates and their Degradation Products

The aim of this work is to elaborate a fast and reliable capillary electrophoresis method, for the separation of 1,4-benzodiazepine (BZD) derivates and their degradation products in acidic medium and in UV light. Because BZDs are neutral, hydrophobic compounds, the most efficient method proved to be micellar elektrokinetic capillary chromatography (MECC). For the separation we used a sodium tet...

Separation of 1,4-benzodiazepine Derivates by Cyclodextrin Modified Micellar Electrokinetic Chromatography

The electrophoretic separation of electrically neutral benzodiazepines (BZDs) can be achieved by micellar electrokinetic chromatograpy (MEKC). The cyclodextrin (CD)-modified micellar electrokinetic chromatography separation of eight of the most frequently used BZD was obtained within 15 minutes at + 25 kV on a 64.5 cm x 50 μm I.D. silica capillary at 25C, using a 25 mM sodium tetraborate-50 mM ...

Separation of Metal Bis(2-hydroxyethyl)dithiocarbamate Complexes by Micellar Electrokinetic Capillary Chromatography

A method was developed for the separation of CdII, PbII, PtII, CoII, NiII, BiIII, CrII, CuII and HgII bis(2-hydroxyethyl)dithiocarbamate (HEDTC) complexes by micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography. The complexes were formed by pre-capillary reaction of the metal ions with an excess of the ligand and then separated using a 100 mm borate buffer (pH 9.2) containing 4% methanol (v/v), 10 ...

Principles of micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography applied in pharmaceutical analysis.

Since its introduction capillary electrophoresis has shown great potential in areas where electrophoretic techniques have rarely been used before, including here the analysis of pharmaceutical substances. The large majority of pharmaceutical substances are neutral from electrophoretic point of view, consequently separations by the classic capillary zone electrophoresis; where separation is base...

Optimization of the separation of lysergic acid diethylamide in urine by a sweeping technique using micellar electrokinetic chromatography.

The separation and on-line concentrations of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), iso-lysergic acid diethylamide (iso-LSD) and lysergic acid N,N-methylpropylamide (LAMPA) in human urine were investigated by capillary electrophoresis-fluorescence spectroscopy using sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) as an anionic surfactant. A number of parameters such as buffer pH, SDS concentration, Brij-30 concentrati...
